KAIRA MONITORING : Summary | Operators | BST | SST | XST | Computing | Archive
In addition to the primary data acquisition systems, a copy of the critical data is backed up to a RAID1-archive. This archive is located at SGO. Continuous data transfer to this archive is essential for keeping the KAIRA real-time plots up-to-date and ensure that the archive remains resiliant to data loss as a result of system failures.
The above plots are a summary of the number of files that are currently stored on this data archive. Each plot displays the census of two types of files (see the two different Y-axes on each plot).
These plots should show monotonic increases. In the case that all traces of both plots are flat-lining, this means that there has been no fresh data transfer. Causes are likely to be network failures, computer disks being full, or a failure in the monitoring software.
The archive contains all obsering logs, XST, ACC, and BST files from approx. 2013 onwards , as well as a sub-set of the SST files (one antenna, dual polarisation).
This page automatically refreshes approximately every 5 minutes.
