The 45th Nordic Geomagnetic Workshop (45th Nordic Comparison) will be held at SGO June 15-17, 2009

Programme

The meeting will start on Monday midday and end on Wednesday afternoon. The schedule of the meeting follows this:

Travel to Sodankylä

We expect that some participants will travel by car to SGO. SGO is easily reached from northern Scandinavia. See our location information page, which also includes information for those travelling by air or train and bus.

Accommodation

There are enough guest rooms at the observatory area for all the participants. We will book guest rooms to the participants when you indicate your dates of arrival and departure. Those who wants to stay in hotel, we have Hotel Bear Inn in Sodankylä village, 6km from the observatory. The summer price for room is about 60 euros. Observatorys guest room price is 25.20Û per day.

Midnight Sun Film Festival

Sodankylä is crowded by the Midnight Sun Film Festival during the weekend before the workshop. Those who are interest about old cinemas and are interest to participate to Sodankylä Midnight Sun Film Festivals, please check the program of the festivals, which will be available later during the coming spring. Note! Hotels of Sodankylä are full until Sunday 15 June, but we have rooms available at the observatory.
